National Super Alliance (NASA) presidential candidate Raila Odinga has been missing in action for close to a week raising questions where he is. Raila, known to command immense influence in the political arena, has taken a resounding low profile since his planned swearing-in ceremony on Tuesday, December 12 failed to take place.

Whenever the opposition doyen is away, communication is made but still his absence can be felt without announcing. But Raila has left many guessing about his whereabouts since the much awaited swearing-in ceremony was postponed.

Earlier, Raila was in Kakamega county where he graced the opening match of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup at Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega County. Later, he was in Kisumu county where he met leaders and urged them not to relent on the push for reforms.

While still in Kisumu, his adviser and NASA strategist David Ndii was dramatically arrested while at a family event in Kwale county and carted to DCI offices in Nairobi for questioning. Raila condemned the arrest while he was still  in Kisumu before making another public appearance

shortly before Jamhuri Day, where he insisted he would be sworn in as president. However, his most memorable public appearances was when he jetted back to the country after his 10-day tour of the United States and UK and met with brutal police force.

He was to later resurface at Jacaranda grounds on Tuesday, November 28 leading to clashes between his supporters and police officers who had been deployed to block the rally from taking place. It was on this day that he announced his planned swearing-in even as Uhuru Kenyatta was being sworn-in for his second term at Kasarni stadium.

He made another public appearance at City Mortuary where he joined families of his supporters who were killed by police to pick the bodies. But after these major public appearances, he was seen at Lee Funeral home to view the  body of former Kitui West MP Francis Nyenze then he took a low profile.
